=====Lawful Kingdom of the Mountains=====

Located in high the [[ostkrags|OSTKRAGS]], and populated by dwarves and human mountain herdsmen, this lost kingdom was a bastion of Law before the coming of settlers from [[the_realm|THE REALM]].  However, it was overthrown by the [[tower_of_damnation|Cult of Damnation]] many centuries ago.

Fortunately, the regalia and rituals of the kingdom had been hidden away in the last king's tomb and the Mountain Archive.  When [[Shump]], a member of the famous [[the_cat_s_back|Cat Crew]] who had destroyed the Cult of Damnation's attempted return, reached the mountains, he refounded the kingdom using those ancient rites in the year YOR 2024.

The kingdom includes [[shumphold|The Shumphold]], the dwarf town of [[dwergontia|Dwergontia]], the tiny devastated hamlet of Goatburg, the werebear Roadhouse and some new settler villages.  It has been recently connected to [[wheatabix|Town of Wheatabix]] by a road built by the dwarves at Shump's commissioning.
