Minotaurs

Minotaurs are strong, fiercely territorial creatures often found in vast underground labyrinths. A minotaur's natural cunning and feral instincts enable it to find its way easily through even the most confusing tunnel complexes -- an ability it puts to great use in hunting, tormenting, and ultimately destroying intruders. A minotaur looks vary much like a powerfully muscled human with the head of a bull, standing well over 7 feet tall and covered in shaggy fur. Minotaurs commonly speak Giantish or Burrush. There is a homeland of sorts for these abominations of Ambitrax's making on an island in the Dilgac chain in the Southern Seas of Caedes. It is said that this island is riddled with catacombs and labyrinths. Legend says that this island was the breeding ground for some of Ambitrax's minotaur stormtroopers, but that it fell to the minotaurs themselves soon after the rise of the witch kings. The island has never been conquered becuase only the minotaurs themselves know or can understand the difficult and twisting pathways below the island. Minotaurs find dealing with other humanoids difficult becuase of their strangely alien logic necessary to negotiate mazes, but they can learn to adapt quite readily and could take to anyone who might see past the monstrous deformity of Ambitrax's curse on the race.
