Seizing the opportunity, the company purchased the mine, the [[Mineral Expanse Mineshaft]] - and proudly announced their plans to expand the mine for the benefit of the community. The investment was substantial; the mine was a small sum compared to the ongoing investments made to the Mineral Grove proper with respect to its infrastructure and workforce. The investment was initially profitable, but recent years have been proving difficult, much to the dismay of The Admiral.
