====== The Cove of Melora ======

Population: 4300. Mixed races.

The [[Cove of Melora]] is another of the major port cities on the eastern side of the continent. It is larger than [[Tegan]] and is more upscale. The charters to/from the [[Cove of Melora]] tend to be more expensive than those to [[Tegan]] would be. The town is well maintained, the buildings and streets appear clean, and there is a noticeable guard presence bearing the symbol of [[Stebury]]. Their leadership recently struck a deal with the Kingdom of [[Stebury]] and are now a part of their empire. For this reason, taxes are now higher, there is a stronger guard presence than there was formerly, and most ships that transport large amounts of cargo tend to be well protected. The Cove is also home to the [[Arcane Syndicate]], a guild of mages and sorcerers that are dedicated to educating young and upcoming sorcerers how to control their powers, so that they are not destroyed by them. The syndicate is led by an Elven Sorcerer named Larian Krulamenth and his right-hand, a half-drow named Vrinn Mandos.

=== Inns ===

  * The Frosty Mug - Good inn. Large, half-timbered building. It is brightly lit by glowing gemstones set into the ceiling. They have several large rooms with plush, woolen mattresses. The innkeeper is a halfling aristocrat named Ancin with Golden hair and brown eyes with a flat nose. He always wears fine raiment, and several pouches hang from his belt.
