====== The 'Exalted' City of Seaford ======

Seaford is a large coastal city south of the [[Shabai Desert]]. It was once famed and called the "Exalted City of Seaford" but has fallen to infamy thanks in large part to organized crime, specifically a guild of thieves and assassins known as 'The Red Saints'. Seaford is quite famous for being home to the prestigious [[Seaford Academy of the Arcane]], which despite the reputation of the city, is still a well-respected organization that produces some of the most powerful and noteworthy mages in the world.

The architecture of the power centers in the city is stunning and feature palaces with domes, columnar archews, and mosaics. There are also many courtyards that were originally built for prayer. The residences in the city are simple, and often feature simple wooden doors or even curtains for the more impoverished residents.

The climate in Seaford is quite hot and surprisingly dry unless you are right next to the sea. Water is drawn from wells that are dispersed around the city and is often stored in large jugs. 

=== Government ===

The rulers of the city are a dynastic family named the Nivriks, whose sole surviving members are the Sultan, Bater Nivrik, and his son, Prince Brel. 

=== The Red Saints ===

A relatively new organization (~25 years), however, their growth and expansion was swift thanks in large part to their clever and shrewd leader, Ana Disto. Their symbol is that of a cross, but the vertical segment is a dagger, and the horizontal segment has ornate fleur-de-lis on both ends.

=== Inns ===

  * The Warrior's Tankard - Poor inn. Patronized by dock workers and blue collar workers. Innkeeper is an impish man named Bertio
  * The Sapphire Candle - Common Inn. Patronized by commoners and artisans. Innkeeper is an overweight male Tiefling named Alar.
  * The Harlequin - Good Inn. Patronized by travelers, adventurers, and sometimes the saints. Innkeeper is a very tall half-elf woman named Gili.

=== Notable Locations ===

  * Domuk's Extraordinary Blades - Weaponsmith in a single story shabby building. Run by a willowy male half-orc named Domuk who is fascinating by dwarven swords.
  * Phamund's Oils and Elixirs - An alchemist shop of high quality. The shopkeep is a stout male halfling named Phamund who wears a collection of protective charms and talismans.
