Chivralia

Population 2500, mixed human and dwarf and gnome. The town is defended by a wooden palisade and towers. It is governed by an order of knights and warriors. Located just south of the Ravenwood Forest.

The town is broken into different quarters:

The members of the various races are free to mingle about as they please, and it is not mandated that they live in these quarters – the members of these races merely share similar skills and trades and it benefits them to work together. The military quarter is open to visitors, but is under heavy guard and there is little to do for those are not members of the guard. However, the Temple is 100% off-limits to anyone who is not a member of the order. The order of knights is known as the Blades of Thunder.

The Blades of Thunder

The Blades of Thunder are an order of knights that are led by Master Commander Gideon Deney. Their temple, known as the Lightning Rod, is off-limits to anyone who is not a member of their order. It is under constant guard as the lower levels are rumored to contain secrets about their order. They are known to treat the citizens and visitors with kindness and respect, however, taxes are quite high. Once monthly, the Blades of Thunder send a detachment of 10 fully armored knights on a pilgrimage to the dangerous storm-soaked plains.

Government

The town is governed by the Blades of Thunder, specifically Master Commander Gideon Deney. The town guard is primarily warriors/fighters who are managed by Captains – designated by the Blades of Thunder. Most of the knights are quite wealthy and are generally liked by the townsfolk.

Trade/Wealth

The city is not exceedingly wealthy, but there is a decent economy where players can buy most essential items. Certain specialty items may not be available here. The Dwarven quarter is known for its availability of ores and mining equipment. Players can often get discounts on items by trading in gems and precious metals. The Military quarter has many blacksmiths, but most charge very high prices for less than stellar work. The Gnomish quarter is filled with some oddities and many alchemical items as well as some clockwork components. This is a great place to scour for the weird and unusual. The human quarter has typical shops of all sorts, and trading with them is generally straightforward.
