=====INITIATIVE AND TURN SEQUENCE===== INIITIATIVE: BLUEHOLME/CHAINMAIL MIX:\\ REPLACED DO NOT USE Cycle through each phase.\\ Within each phase resolve each combatant’s activity In order of DEX, highest to lowest (except melee with weapons).\\ Each character gets 1 Regular Attack and 1 Regular Move each Round.\\ A Regular Attack can be taken during Phase 1, 2,3 or 4 depending on the nature or circumstances of the attack or action\\ **1—Surprise Attack Phase** * If you are undetected (invisible, hidden in shadows, moving silently from behind) you may attack or backstab (thieves)—May do a Melee Lunge * If you got surprise last round and are in melee contact at the beginning of this round you may attack now * If you have a loaded crossbow, you take your attack for the round during this phase. * If you plan to change weapons using the Quick Draw Skill, roll now, apply anytime in the round. **2—Magic Phase** * Cast a spell or read a scroll, if you weren’t hit in Phase 1 or earlier in Phase 2 * Activate a Focus, Wand or Other Magic Device. * Drink a Potion **3—Missile Attack Phase** * Shoot a bow * Throw a hurled weapon * Throw oil, holy water, acid or alchemical product * Work on Reloading a Crossbow shot in a previous turn. **4—Melee Attack Phase (use [[melee_weapon_rules_thii|Weapon S-R]] to determine priority)** * Make melee attacks, may do Melee Lunge * Begin picking up an object from the ground (now AND Movement) * Change weapons (now OR Movement) **5—Morale Phase** * Check for [[morale|Morale]] if conditions demand it. * If you have not made an attack, you may attempt to Rally Fleeing allies who failed morale in previous turn(s), using CHA or Rally the Troops Skill. **6—Movement Phase:** * Move up to your movement allowance * If you have not made an attack, Declare a Charge and move into contact with an enemy (at least 15’, up to twice your normal move) * Run, moving up to twice your normal movement, if you have not made any attack. * Withdraw: move out of melee contact without incurring free attacks, one half normal speed, but you could not have made an attack in Phases 1-4. * Attempt to Move Silently or Hide in Shadow if conditions allow. * Work on Reloading a Crossbow shot in a previous turn. * Mount or Dismount a Horse, stand up from Prone position. * Complete picking up an object from the ground. * Change Weapons * If you do not move and did shoot a bow (not crossbow or sling) in the Missile Attack Phase, you may make a second bow shot now.
