Army of Goldhaft Routed!  Richard Goldhaft Dead!

Dateline,  Storm Eagle Odec 2nd

By Horatio Falkenstein, master bard

The beginning of the month of Odec saw the attack of Goldhaft’s armies on the County of Storm Eagle.  Citing his status as a Deputy of the Inquisition, Goldhaft led his giant-led troops into the Southern section of the county and sacked Fort Blacksword.   The force was later dispersed and the giantish unit slain by the heroes of Blacksword and King Angus of Angusburg. Richard Goldhaft was found dead, beaten and burned in the attack. New Master of the Inquisition Sir Ostler Dragonsbane has pardoned Goldhaft's brother and former ruler of Goldhaft, Leopold II in order to continue the rule of the Goldhaft line in that Barony.

Prelate escapes assasination plot!

Dateline,  The Holy City  Odec  11th

By Horation Falkenstein, master bard

What gall the assasin had to try and lay the Prelate himself low in the very seat of the Justicefather’s power.  The man who had been Archbishop Daas was killed as he tried to bring divine fire down upon his holiness this day.  Only the quick response of the Monks of the Monastery of the Prelate as well as some falsely accused truebelievers of Bor saved the day and kept the Prelate from harm.

Bishop of Vekmar Slain.

Dateline,  Vetulet, Vekmar  Povem 30th

By his reverence, Marco Hildebrand, Abbot of the Baltburg chapter house, Order of St. Baudri.

To all servants of Bor, this is a letter to let everyone know that as of two weeks ago there was a report from the city of Vetulet in Vekmar that the Bishop of Vekmar and his two Justicar Paladins have been slain.  The body of the Bishop has since gone missing!  There were also reports that the “Laughing Gnome” aided the Bishop, but was unsuccessful.  Descriptions of the two assailants are as follows.  The first offender was what appeared to be a large human with a pal pallor, black hair, dressed in older livery.  The second is also a human with  bald head dressed in robes.   It is noteworthy that this individual cast spells as a priest but carried no holy symbol for the purposes of display or spellcasting.  Let there be no panic.  A full church inquiry into the matter is already underway.  Please be aware of these two assailants and report any information or sighting of them to the nearest churchman.  Thank you, and may Bor bless you.
