A
NEW HERO FOR OUR TIMES
Dateline,

Horatio Falkenstein, bard
Goodfolk of Baltburg, the world
is a safer place today because of a
sterling champion of justice. Whitefire
the Demon-Slayer traveled into the Waste and single-handedly slew the horror
known as Grudgore the Wicked. Whitefire
the Demon-Slayer is a master of the mystic arts and I am reliably informed that
he slew Grudgore using wizardry, when all previous attempts to slay him had
failed. This is a great victory in the
crusade against evil and all decent folk owe Whitefire a great debt of
gratitude.
The
Bishop’s Report
Dateline,
Baltburg, Odec the 1st
By his
grace Lucius Indomitus, bishop of
Baltburg and the upper Dalmas
Sons and daughters, I wish to
testify to you about the power of the Law of Bor, made manifest in our humble
town. Recently I have seen many
miracles and wonders. I have seen a
holy soldier of Bor go on pilgrimage to boost the good of his soul over the
needs of the flesh. I have seen a
wicked blasphemer come unto me, ask for forgiveness and perform due penance as
a lesson to us all. I have aided,
through the power of Bor, 2 bold crusaders to return to life after giving their
lives in pursuit of righteousness. I
have seen a champion unlooked for, Whitefire the Demons-Slayer, achieve the
noble crusade of clearing a wicked demon from among us, and then give the
Church a gift as a sign that all victory comes from Bor. Surely, Bor’s law is the only strength we
need in all our battles and it is only to him we should turn. Bor will provide us the remedy for woe and
it is only our doubt and fear that hinders us. My entreaty to all is the famous cry of St. Guthlac “Praise Bor and not our strength for it!”

Old
Fort: Silas Monk

it’s jerked!
News
from afar
Western
Marches: Disaster
along the border! The gnome village of
Grubnick was rocked by a savage attack by orcs. A large number of gnome civilians were taken and eaten by an orc
army known as “The Black Plague”. The
town was apparently betrayed by a renegade gnome. The army is said to be led by evil humans and elves and to
contain orcs and bugbears. The same
army crossed the Western mountains and proceeded to sack Brewster Hall, and to
massacre Count Roderick of Brewster and his garrison. The Emperor must act!
