DRAGON
SLAIN! OLD WOODS CLEARED OF DRUIDS!
Dateline, Manth
Rep 17th
By
Horatio Falkenstein, master bard
It is a pure joy for me to report
this news! Our renowned heroes Sir
Rannos, Sir Ostler, Sir Whitefire, King Angus, Sister Sarissa, Kronin and
various halfling flunkies challenged the might of the forest Druids and their
diabolical dragon master and slew them all.
Let Sir Ostler be forever known as Dragonsbane for slaying the dread
beast, and let it be known that Angus deserves his epithet of Defender of the
Faith for slaying the druid lords.
HERESY
AND TREASON DEFEATED IN MANTH

Deacon Spancus of Duke Haven
Sir Ostler Dragonsbane led a party
of churchmen and other dignitaries in the overthrow of Count Broderick of Manth
this month. It was revealed that the
Count was a secret devotee of the Serpent Abomination, Bor save us all! The previous Count’s son Gunther is slated
to take the County chair and Archbishop Daas has appointed a new bishop for the
County. Thanks to Sir Ostler, Bor be
praised! On a personal note, the
liberators had a fascinatingly talented tap-dancing monkey.
TRAGEDIES
STRIKE GOLDHAFT
Dateline,
Goldhaft, Quoct 10th
By
Marshal of the County, Sir Richard Stercorius
It is with grief that I report two pieces of tragic
news. First, my father Baron Leopold I
has passed away. It lies as a heavy
grief on my heart, yet I am here by the side of my valiant brother Leopold II
to defend his land and honor in our father’s memory. Secondly, cowardly traitors killed many of the baronial border
guards along the Dalmas River. Reports
from witnesses indict a renegade monk and known perjurer named Sarissa, Mother
Superior Gleeza, Sir Ostler of Old Wood and Whitefire of Blacksword. I am shocked at such accusations and will
ferret out whether they are true or not.
