Session/Game: Escape 3e #6 Date:07/23/02
Campaign Date: Uni 15 - Uni 20, IY 485
Log: The evening before the gnolls attack, Illyana scouts out and casts some fireballs at them, slaying about fourty of the beasts. The next morning, the gnolls attack but are easliy rebuffed by the city guard and catapult volleys. There are absolutely no casualties on the heroes side. It is interesting to note that the gnolls all left their bows and arrows back at the camp (I thought you brought them...no I thought you did!) However, later that same evening the minions of Farscult stage a suprise attack at the dead of night on a full moon. Malaki blows the Horn of the Exalted Dead and calls forth the master of shadows, Nebt Bhakau. The shade of Nebt Bhaku summons shadow riders who manage to drive the Greenbonnet mercenries of Farscult away -- but not before Mox Krustal and a cadre of Greenbonnets make their way into the city. The heroes counter attack, and at first it all looks well. Greenbonnets fall like wheat before the scythe under the blows of Nebuchenezzar and Quintus. However, Conjunctivitis the beholder shows up and engages the mighty minotaur. Nebuchenezzar does well at first blinding the beholder in his central anti-magic eye. However, Nebuchenezzar is hit by a fear ray and then a disintegration ray from the eye tyrant, burning him to dust. Illyana spots Mox Krustal and lobs a fireball at him followed by a blindness spell. The master of Farscult retaliates with a Power Word Blindness of his own, blinding the poor sorceress. Quintus, who was beating the tar out of several Greenbonnets finds himself grilled instantly by a flame strike from the venerable Mox Krustal, and conjunctivitis turns Illyana to stone. Malaki flees the scene, running for Gorash the Amazing's abode within the city with Conjunctivitis the beholder in hot pursuit. Malaki arrives at Gorash's to find nothing but empty buildings and a rusty old suit of armor that once passed as Skippy. Malaki is disintegrated as he does his best to fight off the enraged beholder. Thus ends the Escape From Farscult.
