Log:

In the winter of IY 479, the light of Dool the time keeper was bright. The hourglass-shaped constellation of stars foretold the beginning of a story that would encompass the entire world of Caedes, but start deep below the surface of the world.

Cedric had successfully escaped to the Carin of Rigante, a city of Caedes' underworld. He fled from his homeland of Asclings. He had been accused of killing several people in cold blood including a shopkeeper, two housecarls, and his own family. His cash was running low when he was approached by a monk in black named Jack. Jack led Cedric to the temple of the Unnamed One where Cedric met with the head of that temple, Falcor. With the slumber of Taltos over, and the rebirth of armies of the Unnamed One imminent, Falcor needed some outside help. Falcor offered Cedric 6000 Drastin gold pieces (3000 before and 3000 after) to go to the Citadel of Eternity, destroy the guardian of the citadel, and retrieve two servants of the Unnamed One. The Citadel lay at the bottom of the Well of Forever. Riding six-legged, iguana-like steeds named "Iggiers", Cedric, Nebuchenezzar, and Jack moved out of the Carin of Rigante toward the Well of Forever.

After figuring out the puzzle of the Well of Forever (does it go on forever? No, only about 20 feet) the three adventurers find a brass key on a corpse and enter the Citadel of Eternity. Inside the adventurers kept searching doors and endless corridors for the two servants. A gigantic scorpion, a frost worm, and a storm giant and his white lion pets were all discovered by the group. Many of the enemies forced the three allies to make a strategic retreat. Finally, the allies came upon two frost giants chained to the wall with gold manacles. The allies managed to unlock the manacles, but the two servants were too weak or disoriented to communicate with the party. An archway of black mist in the same room as the two servants led to a seemingly endless spiral staircase with doors on the outside wall. The adventurers pass through the portal. Nebuchenezzar jumps through one of the many doors on the endless staircase. Cedric and Jack try to pull one of the servants through the same misty doorway by his head. They land in a heap with the severed head of the frost giant. The three adventurers stand, and are greeted by a younger-looking Falcor. He says to the party, "Welcome. I have been expecting you."
