The Jotuns are a primordial race of the fey, most of the Norse so-called gods are of their folk. They mostly far in the North (Jotunheim) or South (Muspelheim) –the lands of the Frost and Fire Jotuns respectively. Frost Jotun Wizards are said to know the secrets of creating many magic items.
Jotuns live both in the Physical World and the Spirit World at once. From a physical perspective their castles and houses look like mountains or icebergs, from a spiritual perspective like glittering palaces They themselves look like hazy giant figures surrounded with either frosty mist or flames in the physical world, but look rather humanlike in the spiritual realm. They are immune to all non-magic weapons because of their double nature.
