+Bartleby is a retired gnome wizard. He was once the henchman of [[ping|Ping the Vile]]. The two met in the Shadowfell. Bartleby was once raised from the dead by [[Abraxas]] using a contract written by Ping. That contract bound their two souls together. If one died of fell unconscious, the other would as well.
+Bartleby was most notable for his use of the magic missile spell. Bartleby can be careless and has a smart mouth which often brings him into conflict with others. He plays the [[eldritch triangle]]. At one time, he was part of [[Trogdor|Trogdor's band]] Tenacious D.
+Bartleby has since settled down in Highport, marrying the effervescent and creative [[Evie|Evie Finnbuckle]]. As is the custom in the Plaguelands among gnomes, Bartleby took his bride's surname and helps manage their bakery Evie's Edibles.
