Ping is an half-elven ranger from the prime material plane. He is played by Dan.

Son of a military family, Ping traveled a lot in his youth. His elven mother died when he was young in tragic circumstances, and he had little schooling. He spent much of his time in the woods away from the human civilization that didn't always understand him. There he had friends amongst the other Fey peoples. They taught him much, including how to deal with those of their ilk and the restless dead. They often chided him for being a “vile” human - sporting a thin beard and barely more civilized than a monster or beast. Consequently, Ping adopted “the vile” as his honorific.

He partnered with Nigel to act as a caravan guard to travel to the Shadowfell which is how the two found adventure in the first place.

Despite a general disdain for other beings, Ping has found peace along the other heroes. He helps them in their aims as best he can, even putting his own life and property at risk in their service.

Ping has recruited a wizard servant named Bartleby.
