=====HACKSAW CROSSING=====

This is the county seat and principal settlement of the county.  There are about 1000 permanent residents and many of the important businesses needed by the county.  There is a ford and a newly built bridge across the Santa Rosa here and the river itself flows to the Gila River near Phoenix and so is a transportation route.  

The County Judge, Milburn Drysdale has his courthouse here.  The town marshal, Dwight Eisenhower, has jurisdiction over the town only.   The County Sheriff has his office in town too but has jurisdiction over the whole county.  The sheriff has a regular posse of citizens he trusts to help him bring in bad guys (our heroes).
