The Iron Hills and the Headlands

• General: This single chain of hills is called the Iron Hills to the east of Irongate, and the Headlands to the West. There are several powerful Dwarf, Human and Gnome clans with holdings in both sections of the hills. The dwarves and gnomes are chiefly engaged in mining high grade iron ore and its manufacture into tools and weaponry. The human clans are mostly sheep and cow herders (and rustlers).
• Iron Hills: In the Iron Hills, all the dwarf and gnome clans swear allegiance to The Mountain King, currently Hrunting Spearson, a dwarf of the Redstone Clan.
• The Headlands In the headlands each clan has its own chieftain who counts as one of the barons of Onnwal. All the Headland clans swear at least nominal allegiance to the Viscount of Onnwal.
