======= Gold Elves =======

The Gold Elves, sometimes called the Eladrin, are the pinnacle of the [[conclave|Elven Conclave's caste system]]. They use the same statistics in character creation as High Elves in the PHB. 

Eladrin do not sleep. Instead they meditate deeply, remaining semi-conscious, for four hours a day. The common word for this meditation is "trance." While meditating, these elves dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive after years of practice. After resting in this way, a gold elf gains the same benefit a human would from eight hours of sleep.
