The Feywild

The Feywild, also known as the plane of Faerie, existed as an “echo” of the Prime Material Plane. It was from here that the fey originated, giving the Feywild its name, and it was also a place of unusually potent magic.

Sometimes called “the dreaming” this world is that of constant and never-ending change. Things are just always going to be churning and warping here. Like sand against the tide. Allies will become enemies, strange bedfellows will be made, and honor, beauty, and love will make a difference. It is like a soap opera here. There is no security. The slightest of circumstances can transform a king into a peasant. Chaos and discord rule the universe. Adapt or die.

The Feywild is connected to the Material Plane in several ways. Fey Crossings can be found in dense forests populated by elves or gnomes, the trees subtly offering a path to the faerie realm for those who know how to seek it. Fairy rings—circles of mushrooms—are often signs of places where the veil between worlds is thin and can be lifted. Finally, portals to the Feywild can be created and held by those with enough skill in arcane magic.

Albion

The island nation of Albion is the home of the Elven Conclave. It exists in both the Prime Material Plane and the Feywild simultaneously. If an elf born of Albion should leave, they forfeit their eternal youth and are destined to grow old and die. However, there are always those driven by poverty, boredom, or love to give up their birthright.

The Summer Court

Seelie fey are followers of Titania, the queen of the Summer Court. There are several tenants of this court.

The Winter Court

Unseelie fey follow the Queen of Air and Darkness. They struggle against the Seelie fey. They eschew beauty and health, and instead revel in that which is gothic, diseased, and scarred.
