Orcs are surprisingly interfertile with many species. Half-orcs are people who have some orcish ancestry, usually mixed with humans, halflings, hobgoblins, goblins, kobolds or even lizardo. They are a bit less likely to be given into chaos and vandalism, but are looked at with suspicion by many. Individuals might be called Half-orcs, but whole mixed-orc communities are usually called Orkin. Half-orcs have Dark Vision and used to eating garbage (+2 saves vs poison or disease).

Half-Orcs in the Region:
Between 10 and 20% of the city of Polychronopolis and the farmland within 20 miles is made up of Half-orcs, they are as common as common can be. They don't have a reputation for leadership or wealth but get not a second look from anyone.

There is a strict law and strong social pressure against Half-Elf and Half-Orc intermarriage.
