=====Carruthers Detective Agency=====

The Carruthers Agency is the largest private detective and security company in Gotham.  The owner, [[Jim Carruthers|Jim Carruthers]] is an honest guy, but his firm is filled with underworld moles.  There is a large office of professional investigators who do much of the legwork for various law offices, insurance companies, suspicious wives and occasionally even a newspaper in the city.  Carruthers also has a large stable of security guards for hire for all sorts of work all over town.

Carruthers also has a small network of stoolies and informants who feed him information.  He keeps their identities a close secret, since he knows the gangs have spies in his office.   Some of these informants include [[Orville "Turkey" Jackson|Orville "Turkey" Jackson]], [[Dockyard Pete|Dockyard Pete]] and the ubiquitous [[Shemp|Shemp]]
