The Daily Tribune is a tough, scrappy, hard news paper trying to climb to the number one position over the Gazette. It is independently owned and operated by the brothers Murray Weinstein (Publisher) and Moe Weinstein (Editor-in-Chief). It's offices are located in a less than fashionable section of Otisburg. Their star, city-desk, reporter is Ida May Weinstein, their cousin but a tough-cookie hard-nosed reporter nevertheless.
In the face of repeated threats, the paper focuses its stories on corrupt officials, rather directly on the gangsters.
