* Murdock was a 9th gen Malkavian
  * He was plotting against Prince Whitehorse.
  * Whitehorse's haunting, a ghost fettered to him, found this out and drove Whitehorse to frenzy and kill Murdock without the Prince knowing it.  
  * Essentially Whitehorse was searching for a murderer who happened to be himself.
