-Based in the [[Trimarch]], this company usually consists of 10 heavy knights (Sworn Knights and Lay Brothers), and a collection of 40 Lay Brothers of various backgrounds.  They have a castle in the Trimarch called Castle Hydra.  The commander is Sir Wilford of Bromley, a sworn knight with ties to the area.
+The Guthlac family has held title to the manor of Bromley as Barons since the Great Kingdom's writ ran in the [[shield_lands_summary|Shield Lands]] (at least 350 years to be sure).  The Barons of Bromley were among the first to join the Shield Lands protective alliance and is still a major anchor of stability in the [[trimarch|Trimarch]].   Bromley consists of a fortified manor house, with an old stone curtain wall with timber battlements, and a stockaded village and manor outbuildings nearby.  The fief was once much larger, with several dependent villages and knightly manors, but the chaos of the last few centuries has whittled it down to a single manor and village.  The population is around 500 people, broken down as follows:
-Sir Wilford tries to keep enough horses, even if they are nags, to keep the whole company mounted, as the job of the company is to patrol the area, quickly respond to raids and calls for help, and send news to the Earl in a timely fashion.

+  * There is a well-known Inn called "The Red Falcon at Bromley" located just outside of the village stockade.  Many travelers of various reputations can be found here.  It is always looking for Owlbear Livers, to make their famous Owlbear Punch.  The Innkeeper is called Red Milton.
