The Barony of Rufo is less of a baronial manor and more of a backwater hamlet. “Castle Rufo” is little more than a rotting wooden palisade on a hill overlooking a creek. Their chief export and most famous resource is their cria herds of llamas. They create llama cheese, knit llama wool garments and yarn, and the mid-summer Llama Festival is famous throughout the Trimarch.
The settlement is ruled by a retired knight, Sir Stevem Rufo, his five daughters, and his one son-in-law. Sir Stevem has only a dozen other part-time militia at his command, and his settlement and surrounding villages only number about three-hundred souls.
Rufo's blacksmith, owned and operated by Smitho the Dwarf, makes tools for the entire settlement with the little copper and iron they are able to trade for.
