+Wrekin was a wealthy, important planet, the capital of a faction during the Civil War.  It was blasted to pieces by the [[fleet_invincible|THE FLEET INVINCIBLE]] using a planet-cracking omega bomb, perhaps the last one ever to exist.
+Currently it contains a naval base to support the patrol squadrons that sweep the [[forbidden_zone|THE FORBIDDEN ZONE]].  There are also 2 small prospecting stations,one owned by [[powercorp|POWERCORP]] and the other by [[trans_stellar|TRANS STELLAR]], each looking to make an antimatter strike.  Both stations have reported to the navy that they've detected signals from either small habitats or ships on occasion in the belt.
