=====Guild of Mystic Knowledge=====

The Guild is an association of Learned Magicians who rule over the  [[starkpool_city|Free City of Starkpool]]. It is commanded by a Grand Wizard and 4 Council Wizards, who are all truly powerful magicians.  The Guild was originally Lawful in nature, but the pride and lust for magical power of its rulers have made it more of a Neutrally aligned organization over time, focusing on the good of the Guild, rather than of mankind.

The guild has an amazing magical library and a famous school for learned magicians.  However, it expects all Learned Magicians in the [[starkpool_reach|Starkpool Reach]] to join the guild.  It also considers all Empowered magicians (with the possible exception of Wood Elves, but that's still up for debate) to be witches, abominations and tools of the demons.

Part of the Guild's wealth and power come from their monopoly on water from [[starkpool_lake|The Stark Pool]].
