The crossbones island is where the Scoundrels of Slaver's Bay base of operations is. Over the past twenty years they have been raiding the Carbean Islands mercilessly. The Mageocracy of the Seven declared war on the slavers and have assigned the Mageocracy's navy with ending their terrorism.

The slavers are financed by some of the wealthiest nobles in the world, but most of their money comes from the cannibal nation. Lots of innocent people are shipped off to be a meal.

The slavers employ extra slaves in mining operations, but none have ever escaped to reveal what the mining is for.
