Primogen are, at least in theory (although practice certainly differs) the representatives of their clans to the prince of a city in Camarilla-controlled cities. This body of kindred is the advisors to the Prince. Most Primogen councils are composed of the eldest or most powerful of each of the six great clans within the city. The Primogen has the power over all those of their clan within the city, at the expense of having to account for all those who they rule.

The term is both singular and plural, and refers to both individual representatives and to the Primogen council as a whole.
