Nearly all products here are made from a thick root vegetable known as the Lava Potato. It is bland and unassuming, but useful for paper and clothing as well as food. This world features an underclass of orks who serve the ruling dwarves as slaves. These tiny gretchins are cultivated to be miserable and stunted, not at all the fearsome warriors they could be in the wild as other members of the Grumble Beez. A middle class of regular humanity serves as vendors and soldiers. There are radioactive monsters known as the Murnadurma living within the crust of this unstable world. While these beings are threats to the city-states they are also sources of luxury goods made from these beasts’ hides, teeth, and organs. Butchered and cooked, these beings are seen as a delicacy throughout the Avernus subsector. The radioactive material that these monsters carry in their stomachs provide the Promethium to power starships.

A larval hive of tyranids live deep within the center of Brone 86, feeding on the Murnadurma, the native titanic radioactive worms. This culling of the native megafauna is driving the Murnadurma from their lairs as they flee the appetite of the growing bugs within the core of the planet. Eventually, they will emerge and consume the squats and take over this world, perhaps looking to become the base of operations for tyranids in the subsector in the future.

Natives of the planet are known as “Bronies.”
