Verdan was once identified as a possible pleasure world with vast, thick jungles of trees and bushes of alien origin. Lost ruins of the Alderi dot the landscape, perhaps hiding an enclave that still sleeps somewhere on the planet. A temperate climate and warm, thick atmosphere lends itself to relaxation and leisure, and the populace is often a bit dreamy from the native plant life's natural psychoactive pollen that drifts on the winds.
Since its founding, this planet has devolved into something a little less comfortable. As the planet was settled, the Verdanians realized that orks had also arrived. Luckily the planet is big enough for both peoples to thrive, separated on two continents by a great ocean. The orks war amongst themselves on their own continent of Grank. The humans on Serenitea have been able to stave off ork attacks simply by staying out of the way of the mobs and selling trinkets and snacks to the different warring factions. This delicate balance has allowed Verdan to thrive for the time being.
Recently there have recently been whispers of heresy within the halls of The Revelry. An inquisitor has arrived on the planet, and is asking questions. Some older Imperial installations have become haunted, now lairs of the genestealer cults that are slowly taking over the ruling class.
