 Any character may seek to become an Initiate of any one (and no more than one at a time) of the [[the_gods|Gods]] worshipped in the Thranconia region.  Doing so during character generation is automatic for anyone who wants it, and mandatory for clerics.  If you wait to become an initiate until play has begun, you must find a temple of the particular god and request initiation from the priests.  This may or may not involve some service or probationary period, as the Judge decides.
