=====COAST FOREST=====

The Coast Forest separates the [[north_thranconia|North Thranconia countryside]] from [[south_thranconia|the South Thranconia countryside]] and isolated the [[harbortown|Town of Harbortown]] from landward access to the rest of the Dukedom.   


The forest itself is incredibly thick and extremely difficult to travel through if one leaves the Coast Road which runs its length North to South.  Furthermore, the woods are haunted by a wide variety of dangerous creatures from Werewolves to [[elf_tribes|Wood Elves]], none of whom are friendly or welcoming.  

Travelers and merchants who take the road are typically guarded by details of Knights who are stationed at [[Castle Shield|Castle Shield]] and [[wheatabix|Wheatabix]] to escort and protect them.  The usual procedure is for a party of knights and travelers to take the Coast Road every few days, stopping half way at a fortified way-station at the bridge over the Forest River.   At this way-station they can also take a boat down to [[Harbortown|Harbortown]], if they please.
