Gordon comes from a long line of country squires owing fealty to the lord of The Town of Passburg. He had learned to soldier in his youth, but spent most of his life minding his manor and raising a family. However, he isn't particularly good at it. His manor is so far mortgaged that he makes no profit at all from it. His wife, Emerald, is of no help and is constantly asking for money. His be!oved daughter “Princess” is involved with a meathead named Mallet. His only hope was to go into the adventuring business, doing well by doing good. He and his friend Scobo resolved to seek their fortune by smashing evil. The plan was slightly soured when Mallet and his best bro Zubazoo - aka Maurice insisted on joining them. Gordon is sure he'll earn enough to clear his mortgages, and afford knighthood in no time at all.
Gordon is 39 years old. He and Emerald have been married since they were 16 and have four children, Princess (18), Chip (16), Junior (12) and Kitten (9). Emerald and the kids all dote on Mallet, and none of them like Scobo. They are all really impressed with Maurice, but don't like him.
