* **I tried to leave out Spaniards and Italians, but it just didn't feel complete without them, we may consider rolling the Danes, Norwegians and Icelanders (Swedes too) as a single Northman background**
* //I was hoping we could keep it around eight backgrounds. I'm having trouble coming up with interesting fantasy tropes that relate to each heritage. For example, I totally took cues from Shakespeare with respect to the Danish people. //
* STR = Scots, CON = English& Norwegian, DEX = Welsh, INT = Danes, Frankish, WIS = Irish, Italians, CHA = Spanish ==> At this point, why not add one more for an even dozen so the six attributes are represented by two heritages? **Byzantine? Turkish?**
* **New thought on backgrounds: go for a series of Decks. Deck-1 family profession: usually gets you just a skill or tool proficiency; Deck-2 Weird background--use the backgrounds currently on your heritage tables, you can freely open up the rewards; Deck-3 Special Features: total grab-bag. Each player can choose to draw from none, some or all of the decks, picks three cards from any deck he chooses and selects the 1 card that he wishes to apply to his character. Special Features are picked at First, 4th and 8th level, the other 2 are only chosen at generation. This will give a wide possible set of elements added to the characters, and it remains quick and snappy, not bogging down generation and not creating "ideal build" syndrome.**
