An immigrant from the Low Countries, Peter is a foolish old man who wears the most flamboyant priestly robes and vestments one could ever imagine. He is constantly worried about what people are saying about him and takes every comment the wrong way, dropping into a funk as a result. He, due to seniority and the fact that the bishop doesn't give a damn about the actual running of the church, has been made the parish priest of the Small Church in Jorvikburg, which serves many of the farmers in the west end of town.
