The Great King Godwin River

The King Godwin River empties out just at Kingston, the capitol of Nessex. The river provides a barrier between the English kingdom of Nessex and the Danish settlements of Thorsland as it can only be crossed by ferry. The presence of many rapids in the river mean that while commercial traffic can navigate down the river in the high waters of the spring thaws, nothing can move up until the high waters subside in the fall.

There are several islands to be found in the river. Many of these are the home to bandits or the forgotten outposts of the Atlanteans.

Fishing the Great King Godwin is lucrative, filled with fresh trout and bass. However, brave fishermen often get glimpses of ancient monstrous horrors that lurk in the depths of the waterway.
