Jervis Red Mantle, the owner of the Veritas Scriptorium runs an auction each month where buyers and sellers can meet to sell and purchase books.

Held on the last Monday of every month, the literati of Nessex gather to bid on a range of available books.

If a player wants to purchase any common book at the auction, roll 3d6 x10gp for the highest competing bid, double that if the book is marked “large.”

Roll 1d4, that is the number of “uncommon” books that will be on sale, roll randomly for which books. Roll 1d6 x100gp for the highest competing bid for each, add 100gp that if the book is marked “large”.

Roll 1d6, if the number “1” appears, then 1 “rare” book will be available. Roll 1d6 x1000gp for the highest competing bid.
