Listen Mildred, I know you don't like that new Vera woman at the store, but I tells ya that we need someone to cover for Felix, since he's more involved in the Consulting Business than in running the store.   Speaking of the Consulting Business, look in the sugar bowl.  Yep, that's $1000 cash!  Now you can head out to your sister's a week early, first class train ticket both ways!  This consulting scheme is working out great.
I don't want to hear anymore about the damage to my new car.   I promise, I won't loan it out to Felix anymore.  I swear that boy doesn't even know how to use a turn signal.  He went off joy-riding with his hoodlum friends and now I'm going to have to spend a week in the garage instead of joining you on the trip to Jersey.
I took Billy rabbit hunting.   He's a good boy and is going places.   That reminds me, when you see Dr. Chambers, ask him what brand of cigarettes is most healthful for a growing boy.
