Ramiel is the angel of hope, and was one of the once seven archangel who tended and maintained Heaven. His name means “Thunder of God”, and he was the fifth archangel of the seven, representing Thursday, the fifth day of the week. He was tasked with guiding the souls of the faithful to Heaven, and was set over those who will rise from the dead, knowing the names of all who shall one day be resurrected, and watched over those who already have been. Along with this authority, God had granted Ramiel the power to resurrect anyone, may it be from Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, etc. Ramiel was one of the 20 leaders of 200 angels that were watchers. Watchers are angels dispatched to Earth to watch over the humans. The 200 soon begin to lust for humans and their experiences They defected en masse to illicitly instruct humanity and procreate among them. The offspring of these unions are the Nephilim. These angels taught their human charges arts and technologies such as weaponry, cosmetics, mirrors, sorcery, and other techniques that would otherwise be discovered gradually over time by humans, and not foisted upon them all at once. Ramiel tired of humanity and sought ascension back in to heaven. He was given 7000 tasks to finish before he could return to Heaven.
