This giant yawning chasm in the middle of the desert is difficult to navigate. However, there are several crossings both natural and mortal made. A few crossings are wobbly rope bridges, but at least one ancient narrow stone bridge with crumbling walls crosses toward the south end of the great fissure. Many travelers must find another way around this feature or else risk losing everything in a never ending fall into the Underdark.
