Although officially known as “Leaderton Boulevards” after the developer who purchased the land and built out the neighborhood, this district of Gotham is colloquially known as “Crime Alley”. Due to city ordinance, no building may be taller than six stories, so many buildings are of an older construction and in desperate need of repair.
The The Wound Ravens gang rules this district of Gotham. Some of their front businesses include Filbert Shipping which hides a large illegal casino and sports book; also, Marv's Pawn Shop a place where thieves can sell off loot and gang loan sharks can make their loans.
There are many legitimate businesses here too, including The Toreador a large vaudeville theater and movie house, known across the city, though it's starting to get run down. Sluggo's is a fine saloon with an excellent staff. The Crime Alley Alleys is the biggest and best bowling alley in town. Hotel Guano is a run down mess of a place in a fake Spanish Style, named by the founder who spoke very poor Spanish. All these businesses pay protection to the gangsters.
The Police precinct is run by a true menacing figure in the neighborhood, Lt. Jack Riley a crook master schemer and Wound Raven ally.
There is secret hope for the district, since, unknown to the populace, The Gotham City Restoration Project has established a secret base in their vigilante war right in Crime Alley.
