An eccentric French biologist working on a secret grant project at Gotham University. Dr. Mattieu was recently shaken when ninjas trashed his lab and a rival stole his research and lab assistant.
In late May of 1934, Dr. Mattieu was severely burned by unknown assailants and forced into intensive care for several weeks.
