+Normlan, Ikarus, William and Barduhn assaulted the tower in late May 576 and killed a Medusa who had taken up residence there, along with some other monsters that had crept in.  They discovered that the tower had been built with an eye to being able to stop traffic coming down the river (as indicated by a catapult emplacement on the next to highest floor).
