Gordie is a half-naked rail-thin hobo who spears rats with a sharpened screwdriver taped to a metal rod. He wears only a filthy sweatshirt for a sports team with no pants Winnie the Pooh style. He cooks his rat-flesh using a series of jury-rigged telescopic lenses to catch and focus the light of the local star. Everyone hates him except he's one of the few hobos on the station who can catch and eat the rats. He dreams of the day he catches the “king rat” so he can die happy and full. His den is filled with the discarded bones of his quarry and smells of urine and death.
