Thranconia

This Dukedom is the heart of THE REALM in this region of the world. It's capital is CASTLE THRANCONIA where the ruling Dukes have resided for 800 years. It's most populous settlement is the nearby City of Emporion which is a trade and shipping hub. There are several towns and castles up and down the coast, all part of the Dukedom. The COUNTRYSIDE OF CROSSROADS is not part of the Dukedom, nor of the Realm itself.

The current Duchess, the 95-year old Wilhelmina Pettibarn succeeded he husband Duke Evard in 1998. She is petty and vindictive and only really concerned with personal slights and personal desires. She has 5 grandchildren, Thurmund, Redmund, Falco, Winifred and Mirabella each of whom is vying to be named heir. If she were to die without a will or public announcement of a successor, the Law indicates that Thurmund would inherit. But, it's widely known that she has a will secured in the temple of Mithras at the Castle that names an heir, but who that might be is unknown.
