THE TOAD AND OGRE
The Toad and Ogre is a large establishment, three stories tall and with 2 basement levels. It is one of the primary lending operations in town, taking in goods for collateral, it will loan up to 1/3 of retail price of the common items deposited, or up to half for goods like magic items, gems and jewelry. It also will buy goods outright at the same rate. In their re-sale department, they offer a wide range of common non-consumable goods for 1/2 retail price, but there's a 1 in 8 chance that the first time they are used in earnest they'll break or malfunction.
The Owner is Marcus Grimsby who has a contract with a Wanderian mage named Thelnik to do magic identification and mending, he is rumored to turn troublemakers into toads. Security is handled by a team of three Ogres.
