That experience struggling together to survive the maudlin darkness serves as a background for this campaign. Since then, the heroes' adventures have moved on to other planes of existence, but these early adventures still inform their experiences and remains the title of the campaign.  This campaign originated in [[Gloomwrought]], one of the largest cities in the dark, alien [[Shadowfell]].
