Lizardfolk, particularly those in southwest Radavan are thought to be distant relatives of the Dragonborn. The Verdant Empire was a sophisticated nation of lizardfolk who ruled much of Radavan from their capitols in the area known currently as the Plaguelands. During their rulership they subjugated the dragonborn just as they did the tieflings and any other heritages that lived on the continent at the time.
