Polychronopolis

The Fortress of Rathgard is home to a regiment of standing soldiers of the King, under an appointed High Captain. The regiment is known as the Death Owlbears, and is made up of 2 companies of Heavy Cavalry, 2 companies of Medium Cavalry, a company of crossbowmen, a company of pikemen and 2 companies of heavy foot. The current High Captain is Tedward Sturgis, an ineffectual cousin of one of the Queen of Kotharia's favorites. The regiment's standing orders are to support the Podesta against rebellion or civil unrest in the city, and to obey the Marcher Lord in defending the city and the March against invasion (unless there are specific regulations to the contrary).
